Weak Bug

It’s been settled down in my chest since before I knew it.
The weak bug ate at my heart.
Gaping and vacant,
A gaping and vacant hole,
The wind passed through swiftly.

Tears overflowed,
And fell down my cheeks.
Blurred vision.
You’re swimming along. Look, you seem happy.
Weak bug, get out.
How long will the me who wants to advance forwards be there?

There was a vacant, gaping little hole in my chest,
I blocked it up with closed treasure.
It’s always like that,
As usual,
I want you to stop limiting me.

If you’re there,
I’ll stay like this forever.
I’m the one who wants to change.
I’m also the one who can never change.
It’s your fault.
I know that.
More than anyone else,
I was the one who was weak.

Tears overflowed,
And fell down my cheeks.
Blurred vision.
You’re swimming along. Look, you seem happy.
Weak bug, get out.
How long will the me who wants to advance forwards be there?

The tears stop,
So that I can see in front of me.
You are the pitiless me’s excuse.
Weak bug fly away.
I’m going to start walking,
To a future where we don’t meet anymore.

Hi everyone. ‘泳ぐ’ could imply swimming (as in, swimming in water) or swimming/gliding along through life skilfully. As the ‘you’ in this song seems to be referring to the ‘weak bug’, it’s anyone’s guess. The bug could be physically swimming inside him or casually swimming along through life (as they ‘seem happy’).
I’m not certain about some of the pronouns in that same verse and at the very end, but hopefully, I was able to sort it out using context.
Enjoy xx
