Thanks for your input, I'm gonna change it. That line gave me quite a lot of trouble, so I'm glad someone made some sense out of it :)
You're quite welcome, I'm just glad I could help!
I think the translation of "aldrig återvända" should be "never to come back". "Aldrig" means "never"; "always" is the complete opposite ;)
Wow thank you, not sure how I missed than one
This is missing at the end:
De togs förgivet
Bragda om livet
Vem lät det hända
Stormaktstid til ända (x4)
I see phthedude's translation has that, but has other parts missing.
They were taken for granted,
The heroic deeds of life
Who let it happen?
An era of great power is over
But as vaevictius writes Great power-era would be the correct here I think.
so
They were taken for granted,
The heroic deeds of life
Who let it happen?
An era of great power-era is over
But I am not an expert in Swedish.

I'm gonna go on a limb here, and say that I think you mistranslated the line "Svea stormaktstid till ända"; Swedish stormakt means great power, as in empire. Stormaktstid is a compound word, made up of the genitive of stormakt > stormakts and the word tid, meaning time. Taken from Wikipedia: "In Swedish history, the period is referred to as Stormaktstiden, literally meaning "the Great power-era"."
I believe the line should be translated to "The time of Sweden's/Svea's power has come to an end.", or at least something to that effect.
