Mirrors
I see my face in the mirror
I ask myself with tired lips
Who is this stranger and what does he want from me?
Is he staring at me or I am at him?
I can't believe what I see
I put my eyes together for a moment
I tell myself this is a mask
I can take it off my face
I sweep my face with my hands
My hands tell me everything I need to know
Shows me in the mirror
And says: this is you, not anybody else
The footprint of all the stories
The color of loneliness in all of the moments
is left on you face so that you know
that what's left of you today
The mirror says that you're the one that one day
wanted to hold the sun with your hands
but the city of night has become your home today
You're dying silently in your heart
I break the mirror so that again
it doesn't wanna talk about the past
The mirror breaks into a thousands of pieces
but still it's my picture on every piece
The pictures tell me with grimace
cut your hope from the sky
