"To cover the night" in this context means that his lover is light and because of her the night was "covered" or disappeared. And the singer is telling his lover that is not a sin to do that.
Secondly, I have translated the Arabic term, " يا روحي" to "My Soul" This is a literal translation, in Arabic "My Soul" means my love, or my sweetheart.

In Arabic the word "life" is a feminine noun, thus you see I have translated it to "Her years"
