Facing the sea

You don't choose your origins, nor the color of your skin
It's dreaming about living in a palace, while enduring the ghetto
Being born a yoke on the neck, like Cosette for Hugo [litt.: "Being born with the neck stuck in the vice"]
Wearing the battle dress in the conflict and praying the Almighty

I'm a son of C.O.N.G.O this rage I feel at the [pun: "N.G.O" sounds like "haine j'ai au", "hatred I feel at the"]
M.I.C.R.O [mike] make my words sting like swords [litt.: "make my words carry weight" (because I know what I'm talking about)]
To rise from the underclass, to dream about tearing down this painting
Made of weapons, of tears
Made of blood and sobs

[Calogero]
Facing the sea
I should have grown up
Face on the ground
I could have died
I get back on my feet
I'm having my last dream

[Passi]
Both the same hunger
And both disappointed

[Calogero]
I'm having my last dream

[Passi]
It's the drought on fields they keep on sowing
The sorrow in eyes unable to shed tears
I've got plenty of distant dreams, I've rebelled so much
I've eaten loads of bullshit, and that got me fed up
In life there's those who aim at being something and the others [hard slang, even for a native French: this is a guess]
The "Could you spare a dime?" or the bag-snatching
There's the State, those living off welfare, the "Get yourself a job!"
If you're the underdog, you've gotta work like mad, just hold fast [understatement in French "and if you don't, it's not my problem"]
Haven't you ever had this crave, to earn plenty of dough?
One, two, to live in front of the sea far away from hell! [litt.: "To live left right in front of the sea"]
Haven't you ever wanted to fight your way out of the tunnel,
To deal blows, some one-twos with a forbidding face? [litt.: "to deal left and right punches"]

[Calogero]
Facing the sea
I should have grown up
Face on the ground
I could have died
I get back on my feet
I'm having my last dream

[Passi]
Both the same hunger
And both disappointed

[Calogero]
I'm having my last dream
Facing the sea
You're the one who resists!
Face on the ground
Your name on the list!
Your whole being
Summoned to the trial! [litt.: "Subpoenaed."]

[Passi]
It's the story of this feather choking in the tar
Of the brains the country did not care about acquiring
We stand up once again, we restart, full throttle, we aim at the Pantheon
This line's for those who really have it, who dream about being consecrated
The hunger, the ambition, I've got it as much as the homies
We want to reach for the stars without dropping the pants
Too few good fairies and too many cinderellas

[Calogero]
Facing the sea (yeah)
I should have grown up
Face on the ground (yeah)
I could have died
I get back on my feet
I'm having my last dream
[Passi]
Both the same hunger
We're both disappointed
[Calogero]
I'm having my last dream
[Passi]
Both the same hunger
And both aiming higher
[Calogero]
I'm having my last dream

Facing the sea
That's how we all want to grow up

Why did you translate être à gauche droite by just "one two" ?
niak means rage rather than ambition.
avoir le poids des mots is a way to say that you know what you're talking about, you know the value of the words you use. "sting like swords" is really too much!
