I'm not a Norwegian expert, so this is mostly cryptanalysis from me:
Could sler also be beat, like slår (& takta)? And takta could be the rhythm beat:
"Behind me in time beats my follower
rhythm with bones from my grave"
At least slå takten = to drum/beat rhythm in Swedish and it would fit well with the other lines
(I find it a fun detail that takta could also mean tactfully / considerately etc :DD)
(EDIT 1234.56: I also got stuck on framfyre = fire up, cause I only seem to find it as "before" "in front of" "to forward" with nothing to do with fyre (as fire) & also istadenfyre seems to be "instead of", so to me it sounds a bit clumsy in the verse, but of course the word with fyre could be a deliberate artistic decision to include the fyre, & now I'm giving up. It conveys well anyway (now I know the meaning of the english idiom :DD )

Prefaced with the warning that I am not a native speaker of Bokmål or Nynorsk, just some one who has studied and continues to study Bokmål:
I believe in this context, "framfyre" would be used to mean "move forward" or to "rise up" . I would interpret that verse as "Rises up / Follows you / Every step / On your way" although "Along your way" would probably be a little closer in translation.
For "Om eg varar får sjå" I would translate it more as "If I last, I will see" or more in context, "If I endure, I will see"

Apparently "veider" means hunt(v) in nynorsk according to Wiktionary, and "strange" is the Estonian meaning. It also makes more sense: "I am the wolf, hunting in your dream."
