In my transliterations, the spelling "ch" represents the sound found in words like Bach and loch, not like in English "change."
The use of an apostrophe (') represents one of two letters in Hebrew that are no longer pronounced in Modern Hebrew.
The use of a "q" instead of a "k" in some words is just to highlight that they are two distinct Hebrew letters (though now pronounced the same).
Also note that often an "h" is silent in Modern Hebrew.
Words in full quotes are English loanwords.
