The butterfly effect

If the flapping wings of a butterfly somewhere in Cambodia
Raises on an other continent the most violent storm
The choice of a few in some Western's offices
Disrupts millions of destinies, especially if the office is oval,
Only the polar bear is surprised that its icefield is melting away
It does not surprise anyone in our side of the world
When the financier takes a cold it is the workers who are coughing
The ozone layer is far away but it is from here that we bore it
It's the butterfly effect, small causes, big consequences
Still a pretty expression, little things immense damages

We call it flashback or domino theory
A whisper becomes uproar as the proverb says about
If you fall asleep in the sun, with biafine (a cream for sunburns) you'll coat yourself
If you slap the bouncer, you must run really fast
If we binge in the restaurant, it's a fact we are growing bigger
But that's the sperm whale effect, let's get back to our butterflies
Let's do a extra-marital adventure in the afternoon
Then the headbutt from her husband, so if your nose hurts
It's the butterfly effect it's normal you shouldn't have get caught
However if your forehead hurts it means you're the cheated husband

With whales we are making lipsticks, creams for girls
When buying these cosmetics, it's with a harpoon that we are putting on make-up
If you pub-crawl, tomorrow you know that you're gonna have trouble
To retrieve your driving-license at 8am in court
It's the butterfly effect, small causes, big consequences
Still a pretty expression, little things immense damages

The butterfly is flying away
The butterfly is flying away
Everything falters

The butterfly is flying away
The butterfly is flying away
Everything falters

anyone in our side of the world > anyone on our side of the world

When the financier takes a cold it is the workers who are coughing > . . . gets a cold . . . who cough

that we bore it > poke a hole in it

little things immense damages > from little things come . . .

A whisper becomes uproar as the proverb says about > A whisper becomes an uproar as the relevant proverb goes.

with biafine (a cream for sunburns) you'll coat yourself > you'll coat yourself with biafine[fn]a cream for sunburns[/fn]

we are growing bigger > we will get fat

revenons à nos moutons (à nos papillons) > let's get back to our butterflies
Et les moutons?

Let's do a extra-marital . . . > Let's have an extra-marital . . .

Then the headbutt > Then you'll get a headbutt

It's the butterfly effect it's normal you shouldn't have get caught > It's the butterfly effect, it's normal, you shouldn't have gotten caught.

Oops.

With whales we are making lipsticks > We make lipstick from whales
It's singular, "lipstick," not "lipsticks."

When buying > When we buy

that we are putting on make-up > that we put on our makeup

If you pub-crawl, tomorrow you know that you're gonna have trouble
To retrieve your driving-license at 8am in court >
If you go on a pub crawl, you know that tomorrow you will have trouble
Getting your driver's license back at 8:00 AM in court.

J'offre quelques autres traductions possibles:
Everything is going down the drain
Everything is going down the toilet
Everything is going down the tubes
Everything sucks
Things are on their last legs
The future looks grim
The world is coming to an end

Dommage . . .
