To Your Holy Ashram, Sanyasini

To your holy ashram1, sanyasini2,
To your holy ashram, sanyasini,
I came with evening flowers.
At the front door which nobody opened,
I stood like a stranger.
 
In your stream of silent tears moistened by sadness,
my dreams dissolved, sputtering,
my desires died.
Falling into the embers of your mind's eye,
these flowers of mine have burnt.
As the night to the day,
I bid you goodbye.
 
In the lonely road of your memories,
you will see me one day.
Someday you will search for my footprints
and still my soul will whisper to you,
