Já když někoho potkám,
kdo málo štěstí má
Je to většina, to vidím,
kdo málo štěstí má
Vždy srdce mé trochu krvácí
Vždycky příkladně se zachovám,
já už jsem prostě taková
Mám plán, tak stůj
Co dělat, to já vím
A i když je to zlé
Neboj, to půjde hned jak po másle
Tak věř mi, já ti úspěch zaručím
Vše vymyslím a opravím

Ty budeš proslulá
Tou proměnou proslulá
A všichni tě milujou,

Vždyť lidi to milují
Ten, kdo není oblíben, musí z kola ven
Každý oblíbit se dá
Budeš velmi proslulá jak já

I když říkáš ne, což je zábavné
Já tajně vím, že máš
Ten dar, co nemá každý
a proslulou se umí stát

La, la, la, la
La, la, la, la
La, la, la, laaa

Budeš proslulá
Však ne tak moc proslulá jak já

I mean, it doesn't sound bad by itself. But I have to compare it to the original to get a proper picture

As long as it isn't plain werid, I swear LA Spanish gets stranger the more I look at it, at least there is two Spanish dubs!

yeah, still can't stop thinking about scab and grime, lol

Dubbing TimesDubbing Times    Fri, 06/12/2024 - 15:02

I can't stop laughing, just imaging their neighbours in the rooms next to them and being like 'why the students next door yelling scab at each other at midnight?" and just sitting there in bed like ????

Exactly, lol. Talk about having weird neighbours

Lmao, is this about the Latin Spanish version of the fourth song?

yeah, lol

Dubbing TimesDubbing Times    Sat, 05/04/2025 - 09:39

Yes, they had some hella strange translations in Latin Spanish

Jordan52276Jordan52276    Sat, 05/04/2025 - 12:33

Yeah, I admit I never knew what Roña is until this dub, and after looking at the translation, it doesn't sound any better, they should've went with Odio instead

Dubbing TimesDubbing Times    Sat, 05/04/2025 - 13:52

I didn't either (as a non native speaker, who primarily speaks European Spanish wasn't a word I had heard often) I would get it if odio didnt fit, but literally three other dubs used it lol

Dubbing TimesDubbing Times    Fri, 06/12/2024 - 16:15

I actually really like this translation, not to literal but hasnt lost the meaning

Yeah, I think I agree. Though I'm not sure how I feel about 'famous' instead of 'popular', these two meanings are not exactly synonymous - you can be famous and despised. But I guess that is taken care of in the song itself. Though I do prefer 'They will love you' from the stage version

Dubbing TimesDubbing Times    Fri, 06/12/2024 - 16:20

Very good point actually and very true, what is the word for Popular, maybe it didnt flow right in Czech? And yes I like that part too!

Tera4Tera4

you can say either 'oblíbená' or 'populární', both have an extra syllable, so that was a no-go. But to be fair, 'proslulá' can also have connotations of 'renowned'

Dubbing TimesDubbing Times    Fri, 06/12/2024 - 16:25

Shame neither word worked, but least the rest of the song was good!

I think Slovak did quite well with translating it as 'žiadaná', meaning desirable. But yeah, the rest of it is quite alright

Dubbing TimesDubbing Times    Fri, 06/12/2024 - 16:28

This one was easy as pie in Spanish as Spanish word for Popular is well...Popular.. just a little more empathis on the a at the end

Yeah, Spanish lucked out in this regard. Funny thing is, if it was two guys, they could have totally used 'oblíben' and it would fit the syllable count. But gendered languages...

Dubbing TimesDubbing Times    Fri, 06/12/2024 - 16:33

Haha gendered languages can make all the difference sometimes and make some strange translations because of it
