The wind is trembling across the mountains

But the streets are dark and foreboding;

He’s the eagle of the cliffs!

This translation is based on a more literal translation which another LT member and fluent Kurmanji speaker produced, (so far unpublished), and in cooperation with whom I then edited it in order to produce a more fluent, colloquial, literary text in English.
