Letra de Pink Venom
- Kick in the door, waving the coco:
The opening line to “Pink Venom” is an interpolation to The Notorious B.I.G.’s verse in Junior M.A.F.I.A.’s 1995 song “Get Money.” Two years later, The Notorious B.I.G. reused those lines as the chorus of his song “Kick in the Door”: "Kick in the door, wavin' the .44" [via Genius]
- coco:
‘Coco’ is a reference to the luxury fashion brand Chanel, and its founder Coco Chanel. Jennie has been the brand's ambassador since 2018.
- 팝콘이나 챙겨 껴들 생각 말고:
The line references back to JENNIE’s scene in the “뚜두뚜두 (DDU-DU DDU-DU)” music video where she was seen eating and throwing popcorn while sitting on a tank. With the line, JENNIE is sending out a warning to sit still and enjoy the popcorn; in other words, be a respectful spectator rather than trying to interfere. [via Genius]
- 팝콘이나 챙겨 껴들 생각 말고:
Eat your popcorn, don’t even think about cutting in
The line references back to JENNIE’s scene in the “뚜두뚜두 (DDU-DU DDU-DU)” music video where she was seen eating and throwing popcorn while sitting on a tank.
With the line, JENNIE is sending out a warning to sit still and enjoy the popcorn; in other words, be a respectful spectator rather than trying to interfere.
- 눈 감고 Pop, pop 안 봐도 척:
Eyes closed pop pop no need to look
The lyrics are referring to the sound of a gun being fired twice. This means that there is no need to look in order to shoot the gun. Jennie’s eyes are closed, and she still able to hit her target.

Jennie suggests that she is so skilled that she don’t even need to put effort to do it well, or it could simply mean that she is very confident in her abilities
- One by one then two by two:
Lisa pays tribute to Rihanna’s May 2005 debut song “Pon de Replay”:
"It goes one by one, even two by two"
- One by one then two by two:
Lisa nods to Rihanna’s May 2005 debut “Pon de Replay”:
It goes one by one, even two by two
Before BLACKPINK’s debut, they famously did a dance cover of Rihanna’s 2015 hit “Bitch Better Have My Money” during their trainee days.
In an interview with Zipper Japan Magazine in 2016, Lisa and Jennie mentioned Rihannas' influence on them. In a later interview in 2017, Lisa chose Rihanna as a person she respects.

In 2018, Jennie told Elle Korea that, “My number one idol will always be Rihanna. She has everything I want to have.” Jennie got the chance to meet Rihanna at the Fenty Beauty store opening afterparty in Seoul.
- 가짜 쇼 치곤 화려했지:
This is most-likely a diss towards award shows in the Korean music industry. The lyrics say that these award shows are “fake” because they often give out awards to people who don’t deserve them. [via Genius]
- 가짜 쇼 치곤 화려했지:
Quite fancy for a fake show
This is most-likely a diss towards award shows in the Korean music industry. The lyrics say that these award shows are “fake” because they often give out awards to people who don’t deserve them.
Since the hosts of the award ceremonies are distant from BLACKPINK due to their affiliation with their label YG Entertainment, they are frequently absent from domestic year-end award shows and joint concerts. Therefore, Yang Hyun-Suk, the former CEO of YG, never developed a good relationship with the individuals who organize the award events, and as a result, the organizers are often accused of purposefully rig the award shows to ensure that YG artists don’t receive the recognition they deserved.
Furthermore, BLACKPINK has had many accidents with award ceremonies and music festivals in the past. These include when BLACKPINK’s face got blurred out during ‘2017 MAMA’ in Hong Kong, and many more. For this reason BLACKPINK rarely attends Korean award shows and festivals, which supports the next line because the organizers of the shows don’t get money from their popularity since they don’t attend anymore
- Makes no sense you couldn't get a dollar ...:
In this line, Lisa sends a message to those trying to profit off BLACKPINK with the clever wordplay of “sense” and “cent.” The haters would rather try to steal money from others than work hard to make a cent, the reason why they’ll never get away with it.
This could also be about the time Lisa got scammed by her former YG manager, losing over ₩1 Billion Korean Won ($817,661 USD). She’d trusted this manager since her 2016 debut and had asked him to invest in real estate for her but he ended up using the money for gambling. In June 2020, Lisa’s agency, YG Entertainment, reported he was fired and was obliged to reimburst all the money back. Rather than being embarrassed of this situation, Lisa used it as a learning experience to not let anyone else take advantage of the group’s fame and money.
The end of this line could be a callback to 50 Cent’s 2003 hip-hop hit “P.I.M.P.”:
I don’t know what you heard about me But a bitch can’t get a dollar out of me
- This that Pink Venom:
The title of the song Pink Venom plays with BLACKPINK’s original concept of duality, as pink, refering to tenderness, inocence and beauty, is placed right next to venom, refering to poison and darkness.
The group has used this concept many times and their discography has showed it releasing songs like As If It’s Your Last (pink) and How You Like That (venom).
- like Rambo:
This is a reference to the end of Lisa’s rap verse in BLACKPINK’s debut track “BOOMBAYAH”:
Don’t dare to stop me If anyone gets in my way I'ma go, brrrr, Rambo
In “BOOMBAYAH,” Lisa expresses she’s gonna go in a killing spree like the famous film character John Rambo from the movie First Blood and its 4 sequels.
Black paint is said to be used before a battle and BLACKPINK member Rosé has interacted with black paint in the music videos for “Lovesick Girls,” “Gone” and “Pink Venom.”
In this song, Lisa makes a callback to their beginnings, showing how they’re still fierce and confident even after all these years.
- masked up and I'm still in Celine:
LISA boasts her luxurious life, pointing out her 3 year long relationship with French luxury brand CELINE — she has worked as one of their global ambassadors since July 2019. Since then, she has been the number one influencer in Milan and Paris, since July 2022, with about $29 million dollars worth of media value. She is seen wearing an $670 dollar CELINE cloche hat in her rap scene in the music video as well.
LISA has also mentioned CELINE in her lyrics on her solo track “MONEY”:
CELINE my shoes, walkin' on you, my money rules
- Flying private side by side with the pilot up in ...:
The first line can make a possible reference to BLACKPINK’s 2020 smash single, “How You Like That”:
Look up in the sky It’s a bird, it’s a plane
The mentioned lyrics are taken from the infamous Adventures of Superman from the 1950’s. As well as the line can also mention their own Netflix documentary titled, “Light Up the Sky.”
Additionally, in the documentary JENNIE also takes part in some of the styling for BLACKPINK’s comebacks, especially for “Pink Venom.”
On Instagram, one of the YGX back-up dancers made a post on their story, crediting JENNIE for styling her and the other dancers. The photos caption says: “This is a venom outfit that Jennie-unnie styled for me one by one.”
- 'Cause we got bodies on bodies like this a ...:
The line makes a reference to JISOO’s line in October 2020’s “Crazy Over You”:
Oh, yeah, need to get with the program Boy, I keep you close like slow dance
In the “Pink Venom” music video, LISA and JENNIE are also seen doing an slow dance together right before it cuts to JISOO’s pre-chorus.
- Look what you made us do:
This is a possible reference to Taylor Swift’s viral 2017 hit “Look What You Made Me Do”:
Ooh, look what you made me do Look what you made me do
“Look What You Made Me Do” is a revengeful song about how Taylor’s rivals made her become spiteful but also smarter. Given their success, BLACKPINK has come across a lot of entities that have tried bringing them down, but they’ve been strong and let the numbers speak for themselves.
The girl group has previously shown appreciation for Swift’s work — Rosé and Lisa even sang her 2014 non-single “Wonderland” in an episode of BLACKPINK House.
- 네 눈앞은 핑크빛 Ocean:
Jisoo references their previous tours and concerts, describing their huge audience as a “pink ocean.” The reason for “pink ocean” stems from BLACKPINK’s lightstick — which is a hammer with two pink hearts on the side that light-up. [via Genius]
- 네 눈앞은 핑크빛 Ocean:
Pink ocean right before your eyes
BLACKPINK has a huge fanbase from across the world—after doing multiple world tours and concerts around the globe, JISOO references their previous tours and concerts, describing their huge audience as a “pink ocean.”
The reason for “pink ocean” stems from BLACKPINK’s lightstick — which is a hammer with two pink hearts on the side that light-up.
- 다 줄 세워 봐 자 Stop, drop:
“Stand in line, stop, drop”
This line refers to haters that must stand in line and will get shot by BLACKPINK in the following line when they mimic the shot sound
- Straight to ya dome like:
‘Straight to the dome’ was a relatively popular term during the ‘90s for being super high or spaced out on drugs. It is also often used to say you’re going to get high.
The term ‘Straight to the dome’ is a variation of ‘Straight to my dome,’ meaning the drugs went straight to your head. In the context of “Pink Venom,” it means that BLACKPINK’s music will go straight to your head. In that part of the choreography, the members even point to their heads.
The line could also mean ‘Straight to the [stage],’ hinting at BLACKPINK’s successful world tours in arenas, domes, etc.
- Black paint and ammo, got bodiеs like Rambo:
This is a reference to the end of Lisa’s rap verse in BLACKPINK’s debut track “BOOMBAYAH”:
''Don’t dare to stop me If anyone gets in my way I'ma go, brrrr, Rambo''
In “BOOMBAYAH,” Lisa expresses she’s gonna go in a killing spree like the famous film character John Rambo from the movie First Blood and its 4 sequels.
In “Pink Venom,” Lisa makes a callback to their beginnings, showing how they’re still fierce and confident even after all these years.
