Hustler

Hustler
I've been wanting to talk to you
Do you know that Zeca died
Because of the fights he had with the law

Hustler
I know you do not even care about the fact
That you are a little black capoeira boy
Lost in the world dying of love

Hustler
It’s I who speaks to you in the name of that person
Who in the Sapucai is a carries the banner
And in the slum has the name of a flower

Hustler
All I ask is that you please be careful
Things are not going so well on your side
And like that you kill Rosinha with pain

Hi :)

Great translation, just a few suggestions and explanations:

> It’s I who speaks to you in the name of this

(...) in the name of that person

> That on the catwalk there is a banner

Who, in the Sapucaí, is a standard-bearer

> And in the slum it has the name of a flower

And, in the slum, has the name of a flower

It is a sequence, see:

It’s I who speaks to you in the name of that person who, in the Sapucaí, is a standard-bearer and, in the slum, has the name of a flower.

I confess it was a bit tricky for me to understand that part, I didn't know the expression "porta estandarte", so after googling it I saw that it is another name for "Porta Bandeira" and just then it made sense to me :D

See what it is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard-bearer

The name 'passarela' is referring to Sapucaí: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sambadrome_Marqu%C3%AAs_de_Sapuca%C3%AD

_______________

> And like that you kill the little rose with pain

And like that you kill Rosinha with pain

'Rosinha' is a name of a person. Actually, I think her name is 'Rosa', but he might have written 'Rosinha' to address her in an more affectionate way. So, you should not translate it as 'little rose', because it would be an adjective for her and not her real name. :)
