Destana Zapê

Şahiya Zapê bi deng e roja nû ye pîroz e
nîşana yekbûna Kurd e dîsa cejn û newroz e

Quntarê Çiyayê Metînan bamernê bûye mertal
li seranserê Kurdistan raperiyan deng û ar
Îro dîsa li Zagrosan kurd bûn çeper û hêlin
bi rengê dewrana Îskender romî jî lê terpilîn

Li Çiyayê Reş bûye bager birûsk û ewran reş vedan
pêlên Ava Zê rabûn li zordaran bû çirav
Neviyên Enwer Paşa tewişîn siwar hatin peya çûn
ji ber gurzê gerilayan tar û mar û wêran bûn

Tew tew tew tew tew tew

Bihar hat û Zap xemilî neh gulên sor lê geş bûn
bêhna gulan newroz geş kir cejn û şadî lê xweş kir
Ji tîrêjên Apo?yê Kurd lê dinyayê bûne deng
ji Kawa heyanî Mazlûm Kurdê azad e pêşeng

Şahiya Zapê bi deng e roja nû ye pîroz e
nîşana yekbûna Kurd e dîsa cejn û newroz e
Destaneya Geliyê Zapê jîngarî û felat e
wek Efsaneya Kawa ye rûmeta rojhilat e

The epic of Zap

The joy of Zape is loud; it's a new day, it's a celebration,
A symbol of Kurdish unity, once again it's the celebration of Çejn and Newroz.

The slopes of Mount Metînan have become like a shield,
Throughout Kurdistan, voices and fires have risen.
Today, in the Zagros Mountains, Kurds are taking positions,
In the era of Alexander, even the Romans were entangled.

In the Black Mountains, there's thunder and dark clouds,
The waves of water rose against the oppressors,
The descendants of Enver Pasha came on horses and went back on foot,
Because of the wolves (Guerillas) they were destroyed and ruined

Tew tew tew tew tew tew.

Spring has arrived, and Zap is adorned with vibrant red roses,
The fragrance of roses has brightened the Newroz celebration and made it joyful,
The echoes of Apo have made the kurds resound worldwide,
Kawa's uprising is the glory of the free Kurdish people.

The joy of Zape is loud; it's a new day, it's a celebration,
A symbol of Kurdish unity, once again it's the celebration of Çejn and Newroz.
The Epic of Geliyê Zap is legendary and glorious,
like the Epic of Kawa, the pride of the east
