راز

آب از ديار دريا،
با مهر مادرانه،
آهنگ خاك می‌كرد.
 
بر گِرد خاك می‌گشت،
گَرد ملال او را،
از چهره پاك می‌كرد.
 
از خاكيان ندانم،
ساحل به او چه می‌گفت،
كان موج ناز پرورد،
سر را به سنگ می‌زد.
خود را هلاك می‌كرد!
 
English
Translation

enigma

The sea,
with maternal love,
flowed towards the land.
 
Kindly wiped his whole face, out of the dust of sadness, by her waves  
 
I don't know what the shore told her about land dwellers,
That the gentle wave
Was hitting her head against the rocks.
To destroy herself!
