Η ΑΡΠΑΓΗ ΤΗΣ ΠΕΡΣΕΦΟΝΗΣ

Είδα ένα όνειρο
Που είναι πολύ τρελό
Εγώ με μια θεότητα
Τάχα πως μιλώ
 
Μου είπε πως θα ανέβει
Της Ελευσίνας να δει το φως
Έτσι λέει η μυθολογία
Και δεν θα γίνει αλλιώς
 
Θύμα του έρωτα
Του Πλούτωνα εγωισμός
Μα η αγάπη δεν είναι
Ψέμα και θυμός
 
Την Περσεφόνη άρπαξε
Για να την κρατήσει
Στο κάτω κόσμο
Για πάντα να φυλακίσει
 
Mα η Θεά η Δήμητρα
Το παιδί της δεν ξεχνάει
Και ο Θεός ο Ήλιος
Την είδε πόσο πονάει
 
Της είπε την αλήθεια
Πως έγινε συμφωνία
Ανάμεσα στους δυό Θεούς
Τον Πλούτωνα και τον Δία
 
Όλη η γη μαράθηκε
Από την στενοχώρια
Που η μάνα και η κόρη
Σε άλλους κόσμους ζούσαν χώρια
 
Ο Δίας αναγκάστηκε
Μια διαταγή να δώσει
Τη κόρη του ο Πλούτωνας
Να την ελευθερώσει
 
Θύμα του έρωτα
Του Πλούτωνα εγωισμός
Μα η αγάπη δεν είναι
Ψέμα και θυμός
 
Την Περσεφόνη άρπαξε
Για να την κρατήσει
Στο κάτω κόσμο

6 μήνες πάνω στη γη
Και 6 στο σκοτάδι
Στο τέλος σε αυτό συμφώνησε
Και ο άρχοντας του Άδη
 
6 είναι οι σπόροι του ροδιού
Που της έδωσε να φάει
Το δρόμο λοιπόν του γυρισμού
Ποτέ να μη ξεχνάει
 
Έρχεται και η άνοιξη
Μαζί με τη Περσεφόνη
Περισσότερα δεν θα σου πω
Γιατί ο μύθος δεν τελειώνει
 
Στη ζωή πολλά μυστήρια
Κατάφερες να λύσεις
Στην Ελευσίνα όμως πήγαινε
Αν θέλεις να τα ζήσεις
 
Στην Ελευσίνα πήγαινε
Το μύθο να τον ζήσεις
Τη Περσεφόνη και τη Δήμητρα
Να γνωρίσεις
 
Σώμα ψυχή καρδιά
Άστα στη φαντασία
Να συναντήσουν τις θεές

THE ABDUCTION OF PERSEPHONE

I had a dream
Which is very crazy
Me with a deity
Supposedly talking
 
She told me she would ascend
To see the light of Eleusina
Thus says mythology
And it won't be any other way
 
A victim of love
Pluto's selfishness
But love is not
Lies and anger
 
He abducted Persephone
To keep her
In the underworld
To imprison her forever
 
But Demeter the Goddess
Does not forget her child
And Helios the God
Saw how much she suffers
 
He told her the truth
That there had been a deal
Between the two Gods
Pluto and Zeus
 
The whole land withered
From sadness
For mother and daughter
Lived separately, in other worlds
 
Zeus was forced
To give an order
That Pluto releases
His daughter
 
A victim of love
Pluto's selfishness
But love is not
Lies and anger
 
He abducted Persephone
To keep her
In the underworld
To imprison her forever
 
Six months upon the land
And six in the darkness
In the end, this was accepted
By the lord of the Underworld too
