Jhoom

Translation
Jhoom
You have called me
on a cloudy day
why didn't I respond?
Seeing the sky in my eyes
you said something
why didn't I get that sign?
Now I became a new me
and run around in your city
sleeplessly
Jhoom
flying flying far far
Jhoom
spreading wings in clouds
Jhoom
I call her out and fly around
jhoom (2)
In this illusion of light and dark
colorful memories
are hiding in foolish areas
in unknown corners of my mind
I am still a prisoner
of that wrong path
Now, a new me
I run around in your city
losing all my sleep
Jhoom
flying flying far far
Jhoom
spreading wings in clouds
Jhoom
I call her out and fly around
jhoom (2)

the word "Jhoom" doesn't have any proper translation in English, that I know of. As it is the imitation of a sound made by heavy rain ("jhoom brishty" in bengali means heavy rain) or the sound of anklets ("jhoom jhooom ghungoor baje" meaning the "anklet makes jhoom jhoom sound"). According to the feel of the song, it is most probably is used to symbolize heavy rain/ heavy heart/ the crying heart of the person in the song.
