Things in Life
Click to see the original lyrics (Spanish)
Now that some years have passed
And other lips haven't changed
The flavor of your leaving
You know that I wasn't trying to hurt you
And you don't know that I miss you
And other things in my life
You don't know how much I cried for you
(You don't know) that I died a thousand times each time
(You don't know) that I paid in tears for your wounds
And I hope you know I didn't forget you
That I'll meet you another time
I'm going to love you more than that in another life
Because when you love a heart
There isn't patience or reason
There aren't hidden truths
That's how love is
It doesn't deceive a heart with lying love
That's how it was, you see, I didn't forget you
Today we see each other again
Love is part of life
Now that you're by my side again
The waters have already calmed
And we are starting a new chapter
I want you to look me in the eyes
Because my silence has so much to tell you
You don't know how much I cried for you
(You don't know) that I died a thousand times each time
(You don't know) that I paid in tears for your wounds
And I hope you know I didn't forget you
That I'll meet you another time
I'm going to love you more than that in another life
Because when you love a heart
There isn't patience or reason
There aren't hidden truths
That's how love is
It doesn't deceive a heart with lying love
That's how it was, you see, I didn't forget you
Today we see each other again
Love is a part of life

The last line of the chorus, "son las cosas de la vida," literally translates to "they are things of life," but in this case, the things referred to are the "cosas de amor" that had been mentioned before. I have shortened this to just "love" for simplicity's sake. This is not a strictly literal translation, it's more meaning-based, so if you have questions, please leave a comment! Hope this helped.
