Eight-Eight
Click to see the original lyrics (Filipino/Tagalog)
When you open your eyes, when you wake up in the morning
Stretch your hands, get up from bed
If you're still sleepy, then jump and jump, aha ha (aha ha)
If it doesn't work, don't force it
Just turn on the TV or look on the radio for
The sound and the new step that wakes you up, ihi hing (ihi hing)
Refrain 1
One plus one equals two (really?)
Two plus two equals four (you're right)
Four plus four equals eight (perfect!)
Double eight
Chorus
Let's do the eight-eight (Eight-eight)
Eight-eight (Eight-eight)
Eight-eight (Eight-eight)
Eight-eight now
Let's eight-eight (Eight eight)
Eight-eight (Eight-eight)
Let's just eight-eight
Wow!
It's not just a strengthener for weak bones
This will make our lives a lot longer
Toothless or not, everyone do it together, aha hay (aha hay)
Refrain 1
One plus one equals two (hmm)
Two plus two equals four (are you sure?)
Four plus four equals eight (you got it!)
Double eight
[Repeat chorus twice]
Aw!
[Spoken]
Hey, idiots, stop your bad behavior, let's eight-eight
Do they have that?
We're the original!
Ha ha ha! Ha ha ha!
Joke joke joke!
[Repeat 3rd Stanza]
Refrain 2
One plus one, Magellan (what?)
Two plus two, Lapu-Lapu (ha?)
Four plus four equals eight (yehey! Ha ha ha!)
Double eight
[Repeat chorus]
Slower! (slower!)
[Repeat chorus except last line]
Eight-eight faster (stop me!)
[Repeat chorus twice]
Okay, can you guys still do it? (Just eight-eight)
Eight o'clock (Eight-eight now)
Just straight (Eight-eight now)
Ah, alright (Just eight-eight)

In Tagalog, 'otso' isn't the actual word for 'eight'. 'Walo' is what we use for the number 'eight' unless it's with time, in which case we say, like in the song, 'alas otso' like the Spanish 'A las ocho'. You probably know already that the Otso-otso goes along with a special dance (although I heard that they changed the old dance and updated it?)
