Spit

[Intro]
These are Mojaz'1 residues that I stuck them together with spit
And this piece was created 9 years ago by Mahdiyar2,
(And) Now we've taken it out the warehouse
Don't blend in so much
Strong faith exists in faithless countries3

[Verse 1]
Let go of the world, I'm not in the mood
Ate the meat and left me the bare bones
I ate it and I felt sick, spit
I'm hungry, I'm not okay
Even if they say the top-floor of this skyscraper is mine
I don't like to shake hands with jackasses
Even if I get imprisoned after a fight
No problem, it's fine I'm not scared
I promised home not to be a wolf
But it's hard when I don't have easy profits
Spit, the detective asked me questions
Me? Always in the room
The door is locked, the only one I trust is God
In front of me, a pen, a paper
You don't remember (but) rap was just a little infant
He didn't know any slogan
Dollars weren't an issue
I was constantly guiding him
Till he started walking on his own two feet

[Chorus]
Spit, spit, fixated on my poems
Drinks are still expensive and crack cheap
Strong faith exists in faithless countries
We consume each other's properties munch munch munch

[Verse 2]
Spit, we're all gonna die, time is running, isn't it?
We say it is, we say captivity is gone
Take this shovel's handle
We all exude oil
Are you aware that you
Call this shiny (fake) thing "original"?
How much does it cost?
You're getting ready to pay
Is it difficult though, predicting the fact
That we'll die naked?
Yeah we die naked
We die naked, we die naked
The world is full of orphans yet we're still breeding
Spit, this is the discrimination of rap
Go tell everyone your role in it
'Cause I've seen you somewhere
Let me think
Oh somewhere in the middle of the local farm market
Where they were relocating banana boxes
Everyone used to make fun of me, and all I've got was a lump in my throat
I was punching the wall, punch after punch
I used to sit and get fixated on every single line (of the poem)
Cheers to everyone who stood by me, cheers to my tape recorder

[Chorus]
Spit, spit, fixated on my poems
Drinks are still expensive and crack cheap
Strong faith exists in faithless countries
We consume each other's properties munch munch munch

[Verse 3]
Spit, I'm living it up
Morning's here, the knife and cheese4 are on the table
Not in my pocket, you ask where's the butter?5
Everyone hears, everyone hears
Grab a bite, there's no Barbari6
No, there's no barbaric, no rage
Everyone sees, everyone sees
When the door opens to the alley
Everything seems fine, people are smiling
The prince doesn't need money
Those leaders aren't corrupt
All the news headlines are true facts
In soldiers hands, there's either a shovel or a sickle
Spit, you wake me up every day
We'll teach you all of it uncle7
Don't say that I'm a narrator
I'm part of the TV's censorship
I'm the sound of the demon's burps
I'm eloquent, I'm the explosion of (land)mines
Hichkas8, the unknown caption

[Outro]
Even the residues of Mojaz are better than your collections
I hate vain compliments
We got it, your pockets are full of money
Repeat it quickly now
I'm surrounded by dollars, lira9
I'm surrounded by dollars, lira
Repeat it quickly
I'm surrounded by dollars, lira

  • 1. Hichkas declares the lyrics are made of Mojaz(مجاز) pieces, so every time he says "spit" he's kind of separating the parts he took from Mojaz than the lyrics he added. This song was released in 2015, and Mojaz album was not released until 2020.
  • 2. Mahdiyar Aghajani (مهدیار آقاجانی) is the producer of Mojaz and other albums and singles of Hichkas.
  • 3. بلاد کفر (belad-e kofr) means "faithless countries" but it's also a metaphor for foreign countries.
  • 4. پنیر(paneer) means "cheese" but also could be used to refer to "weed".
  • 5. کره(kare) is translated to " butter", however, the sentence kind of alludes to the Persian idiom "کره خوری" (kare khoree) which means having a strong appetite after smoking weed.
  • 6. Barbari (بربری) is a type of Iranian bread which coordinates with the previous lines and rhymes with "barbaric" in the following line.
  • 7. عمو(amoo) refers to a paternal uncle but here is used to show some kind of superiority.
  • 8. Hichkas(هیچکس), meaning "nobody", is Soroush Lashkari's pseudonym.
  • 9. I've put the translation of the sentence but the original line reads as "Laa dolaaraa leeraam" which is a tongue twister, that's why he asks to repeat it quickly.

O, thank you so much, Nib! I found your comments very helpful! Seems to be such an "programm song" for Hichkas, a kind of manifesto. I would like to transliterate farsi lyrics by my own too, but it's too hard cause of all these vowels, that always fading away. Sorry for my broken english, i'm actually speaking russian and german much better)

I'm glad I could help. There are a few other annotations that I didn't include because I've heard them from the fans and I'm not quite sure if they're true. One of them is the wolf he mentions, some have said it alludes to Ho3ein 'cause he has a song called wolf (گرگ) which features Reza Pishro and Amir Tataloo, so Hichkas may be saying I'm not gonna be like them.
Transliterating can get tricky if you're not fluent but we're here to provide that for you.
Oh your English is fine.

Thanks! Then.. may be, i'll try to transliterate a little and then ask you for my linguistic mistakes?
