Schattenland [Shadowland]
Fatshe leso lea halalela
Fatshe leso lea halalela
Schattenland, kahl und geschunden
Geliebtes Land, vernarbt und krank
Das Flussbett leer, das Gras gestorben
Auch ich muss fort, muss fort von hier
Wohin der Weg mich auch führen mag
Ihr bleibt nah, unsichtbar
Da ist der Traum, den ich in mir trag'
und irgendwann wird er wahr
Muss ich auch gehen, mein Herz bleibt da
Lea halalela
Vergesst mich nicht, ich bleib euch nah
Lea halalela
Wohin der Weg dich auch führen mag
Wir sind nah, unsichtbar
Glaub an den Traum vom geweihten Land.
Und irgendwann wird er wahr
Fatshe leso lea halalela
Fatshe leso lea halalela
Wohin der Weg dich auch führen mag
Wir sind nah, unsichtbar
Glaub an den Traum vom geweihten Land
Und irgendwann wird er wahr
Giza buyabo, giza buyabo
Ich komm' zurück, ich komm' zurück
Beso bo
Giza buyabo, Ich komm' zurück,
Giza buyabo, oh, giza buyabo
Beso bo, mein Volk, beso bo
Shadowland
Shadowland
bald and maltreated
Loved land
scarred and sick
The riverbed empty,
the grass dead.
I too have to get away,
have to get away from here!
Whereever the path
may lead me
you stay near, invisible.
That is the dream
I keep inside of me
and someday it will come true.
Though I have to go
my heart will stay there.
?
Don't forget me!
I'll stay near you.
Whereever the path
may lead you
we are near, invisible.
Believe in the dream
of the sacred land.
And someday it will come true.
...
Whereever the path
may lead me
we are near, invisible.
Believe in the dream
of the sacred land.
And someday
it will come true.
Whereever the path may lead you
?
?
We are near, invisible.
I will come back,
I will come back,
?
?, me/I.

Thanks for translating. What language is the non-German part called?
Thanks for the info. :glasses:
Well, the question marks represent the parts in Zulu. I don't speak Zulu. And there was a statement by the OP that there was no need to translate them.
I understand it.
You're right, and I thank you for translating the lyrics, but you should have added a comment saying that the question marks are related to the Zulu lyrics.
Anyway, thank you once more for the translation.
*laughs* Yeah, I probably should have done that. I only now realize it looks like, I don't know, I didn't understand a German part or something.
Thanks for translating, however (agreeing with Berliner), it's too bad that some parts of text that haven't been translated.
LOL, you're right, Berliner, and you're not the first person to tell me that... I'm completely effusive with emotions, I think like to show people my gratitude XD
Anyway... I overlooked the typos you mentioned when I first read the text, I read the translation fast and didn't perceive them. Only now, after you mentioned (and after reading slowly and another time) I was able to see them.
