Don't you be looking down on those split seconds
The time will come, and you will learn to recon them
They whistle as though the bullets by your temple
The moments of your life, the tiny seconds
Split seconds are being pounded in years
Split seconds are being pounded into millennia
And I don’t understand sometimes perhaps
Which is it, the first moment, or the one that had already ended
And every little moment has a reason
It’s own bell, the marking and the register
The moments do hand out to us all
Disgrace to some, to others - the glory and the immortality
From tiny seconds knitted is the rain -
The ordinary (common, trivial) water flowing from the skies
And you could wait a good half of your life just standing by
Still waiting for your moment to unchain
And it will come as awesome as a gulp
A gulp of water amidst exhausting summer heat
And quite simply, just do the right thing
When moments crash and burn into a pulp
Don’t underestimate the value of split seconds
The time will come, and you will learn to recon them
They whistle as a bullet by your temple
