Translation
Ya pidu v daleki hory (I will go to the far mountains)
I will go to the far mountains,
to the wide meadows
And will ask the wind of the valleys
that he would not sleep all day
And would fly on free wings
to the mountaintops and oak forests
And would know where my sweetheart is --
brown eyes, black eyebrows
Refrain:
My sweetheart, my beloved,
the world in bright blossoms
I carry in my eyes to you
all the blue world
I carry melancholy love,
a young dream,
And the orchards blossom for me
when I'm going to you.
And if the wind from the meadows
will not want to fly to me,
I will still find the girl --
black eyebrows, brown eyes.
I will cross fast rivers,
and the Beskyds, and the oak forests
And the paths will show me
brown eyes, black eyebrows.

There dialectisms from the Hutsuls of the Carpathian mountains here --
"зворів" is from "звір", meaning valley or ravine
"кичери" are forested mountains with bare mountaintops
"бескиди" is a local name for a mountain range
