Belgium

Where could I go? I can't go to Germany,
Can't go to Germany because people there are too strict
Where could I go? I can't go to Chile,
Can't go to Chile, because people there are so creepy

I don't want to live in Kuwait
Because Kuwait's too hot for me
As for America
Well, actually this country doesn't exist.

Where could I go? I don't want to go to Northern Ireland
Not to Northern Ireland, because places are always getting destroyed there
Where could I go? I can't go to China
I don't want to go to China, it's too crowded for me there.

I don;t want to live in Scotland
Because Scotland is too wet for me
And the Soviet Union
Is simply too far away

Is there any life on Pluto?
Can you dance on the moon?
Is there, among the stars, any place
Where I could go?
Is there any life on Pluto?
Can you dance on the moon?
Is there, among the stars, any place
Where I could go?

Where could I go? I can't go to Cuba
I don't want to go to Cuba, because it's too nice there
Where could I go? I can't go to Poland
I don't want to go to Poland, things are going too well there.

I don't want to live in Lapland
Because Lapland's too cold for me
And I want to leave the Netherlands
Because it's getting too constrained there

Is there any life on Pluto?
Can you dance on the moon?
Is there, among the stars, any place
Where I could go?
Is there any life on Pluto?
Can you dance on the moon?
Is there, among the stars, any place
Where I could go?

I was doubtful about Belgium
Because everyone there laughs
I was doubtful about Belgium
Because their language sounds so sweet

I even struggled with my doubts
But I didn't take any risk
I was doubtful about Belgium
I even struggled with my doubts
But I didn't take any risk
I was doubtful about Belgium

Belgium
Belgium
Belgium
Belgium

Is there any life on Pluto?
Can you dance on the moon?
Is there, among the stars, any place
Where I could go?
Is there any life on Pluto?
Can you dance on the moon?
Is there, among the stars, any place
Where I could go?

Overall a very good translation, I'd say.
As for 'because I'm scared of living here for another minute' -> another suggestion capturing the idea of 'daar krijg ik het benauwd' might be 'it's getting too crowded there' or maybe 'it's becoming too constrained (there)' . Groeten!

Ah, and it seems you forgot 'didn't in 'I didn't dare to go there' ? (ik nam geen enkel risico)
BTW you could perhaps translate that with 'I didn't dare taking a risk'. ?

By the way, does 'groeten' mean 'greetings'?:)

Very good , especially when you say you can't speak Dutch :-) !!!!
Just two more remarks : I 'd rather say " Because their language sounds so sweet" and
"But I didn't take any risk"

Anyway, you both kept me from translating the song (while I prepared it tonight but my connection was gone )...but I forgive you as they are good ;-)

I want to thank you both for your corrections, but there's still one little thing I'd like to be enlightened about: What does 'in dubio staan' exactly mean? Because I couldn't find any explanation to this idiom, but I've discovered the meaning of the word 'zelfs'. So the phrase shall sound like 'I even ...., but I didn't take any risks'. If I said 'I even had doubts', I would kind of repeat myself because later it says 'I was doubtful about Belgium'. Moreover, the two sentences that make up this phrase are supposed to be somehow in contrast, due to being connected through the adversative conjunction 'but'. And in the current phrase I can see no contrast, that's why it seems a bit odd to me. So please tell me what that phrase is supposed to mean.

P.S.: I hope I didn't baffle you :d.

Actually "dubio" is some kind of big dilemma, or a "struggle with oneself" "in dubio staan" could be translated as " I was facing a big dilemma" or " I even struggled with myself" Maybe here it would even be possible to say " I even struggled with my doubts" (double doubts ;-) )

So I hope I didn't make you...doubt even more :P

Not at all, it's much clearer now, thank you very much!
