About translator
The "Boe Muliake" is the correspondent of the werewolf in the legends of the European continent: a man doomed to turn into a beast due to a guilt not expiated, and therefore punished by the divine justice and abandoned in the company of devils.
Since wolves never existed in Sardinia, this being was imagined under the guise of a wild bull, whose frightful bellow at night announces the forthcoming death of some man.
