Dekshoo

Nice, nice

With my penny loafers or with my deck shoes,
I will walk on the 'hey' or I will walk on the 'hoo'
With my penny loafers or with my deck shoes,
I will walk on the 'hey' or I will walk on the 'hoo'

So, canned tuned, caviar, Michelina's, superstar
Walking on Main Street, or walking on the I-Don't-Know
Eeny-meeny-miny-moe, who wants some jell-o?
If your favorite sport is biking, well come on baby, hello
Jump, dance around the questions, walking on the 'hey', okay
Let me explain, this thing here is a circus
Jetset in my minivan, sleeping with a coat
I've got my case in case my case didn't work,
Head case in case my style didn't work
Penny loafer, deck shoe, think about it, think about it...
I've got my - No man, I'm working on my tan
Shopping channel, selling a scam
Copy-paste, I'm like 'damn'
Basically so basic, so

With my penny loafers or with my deck shoes,
I will walk on the 'hey' or I will walk on the 'hoo'
With my penny loafers or with my deck shoes,
I will walk on the 'hey' or I will walk on the 'hoo'

So, more broke, better dressed, walking on the 'hey'
I said, more broke, better dressed, walking on the...ha-ha

Not a cent in the bank, a Louis Vuitton bag
A pair of deck shoes,
But no boat to walk on wearing them
That's how it goes, what can I say?
Buy me fifteen minutes and watch me pack up my bags
I wouldn't say I'm poor, I'd rather say I'm broke
Thank God it doesn't cost me anything to walk on the coast
'Cause I like sunsets and watching boats go by
With easy listening jazz playing on my radio

With my penny loafers or with my deck shoes,
I will walk on the 'hey' or I will walk on the 'hoo'
With my penny loafers or with my deck shoes,
I will walk on the 'hey' or I will walk on the 'hoo'

This is my aquatic, aeronautic life with my deck shoes
I'm walking on the 'hey', I'm walking on the 'hoo'
I'm walking in the evening, during the day I don't do much
I'm walking for some causes, but I don't believe in anything
It's the new edition television with matching piano
All kinds of people who know, everyone thinks we should
All kinds of people who believe in sailor stories,
But I found them at the end of the dock while walking on the 'wow'

So, more broke, better dressed, walking on the 'hey'
I said, more broke, better dressed, walking on the 'hoo'
More broke, better dressed, walking on the 'hey'
I said, more broke, better dressed, walking on the 'hoo'

With my penny loafers or with my deck shoes,
I will walk on the 'hey' or I will walk on the 'hoo'
With my penny loafers or with my deck shoes,
I will walk on the 'hey' or I will walk on the 'hoo'

I can't say I really understand it but that doesn't seem to be the point. I found myself tapping my feet and grinning anyway.

So, plus broke > I took this to mean "I'm no longer broke." But c'est toi l'expert.

a Luis Vuitton bag > Louis

sundowns > I would go with "sunsets" here.

le bout d'une chai > I listened to this bit about 6 times and I thought they were saying "chat," as in "cat." I know the word "quai." So is this the Chiac pronunciation of "quai?"

Thanks for pointing this song out.

Well he actually says it 'pluS' and not 'plu/pu', so yeah, 'more broke'.

And as nonsensical as it may seem, 'chai' is indeed the Chiac pronunciation of 'quai'. Go figure.

No problem, glad someone else likes it :D

Prononcer "plus" avec ou sans le S. La leçon du jour! Et l'ATILF le confirme. Merci!
