Thank you cm. for your stars, but, I want to tell you that, in most of my translations, I count the syllables, and I sing the song as I go along, so:
1. "do' is permitted to give emphasis or make a point, besides, I need one extra syllable in that verse. Dejo "do".
2. When you are baptized, they "pour" the water over your head. (no out).
3. Yes, I missed the "a". Corrected. Thank you.
4. Another "do". Maybe I'll say "I'm singing". I need that syllable.
5. I changed it, but I have to think about it. There is a repetition I don't quite like.
6. I made some changes. Again, I have to think about it.
7. I corrected the repetition my way.

Yo creo que la versificación es tan importante como el mensaje, y las canciones se toman libertades para conseguir la rima. Además, en esta canción, como es campera, dicen cosas que no son preisamante correctas en el original.
Yo no creo que "do" haga la traducción 'silly'. Este hombre está presumiendo y exagerando sus sentimientos.
Ya sé que "I sing" (en general) es la idea. Así lo tenía antes. Ya te dije por qué añadí el "do".
"around here" was there the first time. A little long but...
It doesn't say anywhere "to give Him the permission..." but "and He gave them... ".

I will go over again.
