some versions of this song goes like this :
Mitt uti den gröna lunden, där dansar ett par,
In the midst of the green grove, there danced a couple.
Den enna var vãnnen, (å) den andra var ja. (dialect for jag?)
One was the friend, the other was I.

Hey, would you like to listen to a Romanian traditional song that I translated?
https://lyricstranslate.com/en/bordeiaș-bordei-bordei-little-hut-hut-hut...
And may I ask you what is your mother tongue? Curiosity ate the cat
Nice song, very folk-ish :) the violin work is quite nice, and I like that it sounds authentic - kind of gives me that Eastern European vibe, with a slight hint of Turkish maybe? - even though I know it's mostly Romanian.
My mother tongue is Hebrew :) but I'm also fluent in Italian and getting there with Norwegian. So, if you have any requests in these languages I'd be glad to help :)
I'm glad you enjoyed it and yes, it does sound a bit Turkish because Romanians and Turks go way back so we borrowed a few tunes from them.
I thought your mother tongue was English since most of your translations are into English and your English is more than just OK. So, thanks for letting me know, I will turn to you if I need any help with one of the languages you mentioned :)
Well, your English is fairly good as well and yet you're not a native ;) but thanks for the compliment :)
I don't see any point in translating to anything other than English, since it is the universal language and I don't want to limit my translations to any specific audience. Plus, I don't take much interest in my own language, mostly because I already know it well enough :D
