1. The hafgufa is a sea monster from Norse mythology. Its name is composed of the words "haf" ("sea") and "gufa" ("steam").
2. So were described in the "Konungs Skuggsjá" three massive waves seen on the horizon. It is unclear whether they were actual waves or only an optical effect.
3. This line is in Swedish in the lyrics.
