Hold on to me

You didn't look at me like this for a long time
didn't tell me anything for a long time.
You've removed our photographs,
'cause you miss something.
You call me and say that you don't know anymore,
you don't know anymore what is touching you.
The recent years stirred you up
and confused you even more.

Hold on to me when life is tearing you apart.
Hold on to me when you don't know what to do.
I'm able to understand you.
Hold on to me, 'cause that's all what remains.

I leave the light on till you're able to sleep
but you're tossing about.
You sleep at night turned away from me,
are you lonely beside me?

Hold on to me when life is tearing you apart.
Hold on to me when you don't know what to do.
I'm able to understand you.
Hold on to me, 'cause that's all what remains.

Do you see the way out of this darkness?
Do you want to come out, I'm ready.
That couldn't be already all that was.
I do believe in us and our time.

Hold on to me when life is tearing you apart.
Hold on to me when you don't know what to do.
Hold on to me when life is tearing you apart.
Hold on to me when you don't know what to do.
I'm able to understand you.
Hold on to me, 'cause that's all what remains. (x4)

Mauler - fine job. I have just one question about the translation of berühren: "was berührt dich." ("what touches you"). Would "what moves/affects you" or to stretch it, "what is bothering you" better convey the meaning in English?

This song is from Revolverheld's 2010 CD: "In Farbe."

I think all three can be right, depends on the context...
