Original lyrics
Kameraden

Translation
Comrades
All day and all night the boom is roaring from the frontline towards us. And the ears are shrilled by the cries of desperation. Billows of smoke rack over the land, as a “banner of death” of those hordes devastating and looting everything. [...] people driven by the awful reality are roaming the streets.
The supreme commander who has stayed here in this burning country because his duty calls, who doesn’t know whether his wife and children made it to escape from the red hordes in the nick of time.
He doesn’t bring any word of lamentation on his lips. If you ask him: “Where’s your wife, where are your children?”, he simply says: “I don’t know.”
And in his eyes the light shines and the order of the day which doesn’t know any sentimentality anymore. Which demands everything yet promises nothing but victory. Even if we die.
