laylania Μεταφράσεις του τραγουδιού ''Пусть весь мир ...''
Nice translation, Alex! Just a few small grammatical things:
• The title should be “Let the whole world wait” ( no S)
• I might say “cities are destroyed” instead of “cities fall” – both make sense but destroyed is a more exact translation
• At the end of the first verse, I’m not exactly sure what the Russian means, but it kind of looks like it’s trying to say “There’s just you” – basically, everything is destroyed and forgotten, but you alone remain
• It should be “I’ll never get tired of holding your hand tight” in the chorus
• I’d say “we’re stitched together firmly” just to make it more clear
All in all, it's a very lovely and flowing translation! Just a few minor details to make it even clearer :)
Thank you so much, Robin, for your corrections (also thanks go to Sophia (Green_Sattva) for that "uneven pulse" thing :) and Nadia (sandring) for the advice to use "The blue Murphy's Book" in PM  I'm sure I'll find it here in Kiev.
As for the end of the 2nd verse, well I think there's a situation when they sacrificed grammar for sake of rhyme... :)
However I would make it this way:
... Забываются имена
Остаёшься лишь ты одна... (Не забыта лишь ты одна...)
The full meaning for me is:
Heavens are fallen (but you're still standing!), cities are destroyed (but you are the whole so far) all the names are forgotten (all, but yours, of course ;) ) and the only you remained here.

Hello! I was just wondering if there is perhaps another way to write the line "And there's only you remained...", as it doesn't come across as correct. Maybe "And there's only you remaining" or "And only you remained"?
Also, I was wondering if it would be alright for me to use your translation on a fan-made video as subtitles, with me crediting you as the translator at the end (also I could put the link to the translation and your profile in the video description when it's uploaded as well, if you would like)
Thank you for your time!

Also, the line "The only you, you are the only what I need", I would think it should be "The only you, you are the only one I need", right?

I agree Amanda. Also for the "And there's only you remained.." could be "And there's only you who remained." along with the ones you suggested. The best choice depends on the original wording in Russian (which I'm not fluent so I can't compare)
