Why do we risk all we have, w
hy give into the lure that calls
from everything forbidden.
What attracts us to the night,
and captures us however hard we fight.
It seems the heart is slow to learn, no one can tell it what to do,
it never learns from its mistakes, what twists and turns it puts us through.
Oh yes the heart is slow to learn,
so every lesson is in vain,
it goes the way it wants to go, regardless of the pain.
And so, I foolishly go on,
ignoring all the signs,
dismissing all the doubt inside me.

no one can tell it what to do,
it never learns from its mistakes, that's why it finally breaks
and overpowers you.

it shouldn't come as a surprise

Warum riskieren wir alles, was wir haben,
warum geben wir der Verlockung
von allem Verbotenem nach?
Was lockt uns in die Nacht
und erfasst uns egal wie stark wir kämpfen?
Es scheint, dass das Herz langsam lernt, keiner kann ihm sagen, was es tun soll.
Es lernt niemals aus seinen Fehlern, was es uns auch durchmachen lässt.
Oh ja, das Herz lernt langsam,
so ist jede Lektion vergeblich,
es geht den Weg, den es gehen will, ohne den Schmerz zu beachten
Und so mach ich dummerweise weiter,
ignoriere all die Zeichen,
lege meine inneren Zweifel ab
Denn das Herz lernt langsam,
keiner kann ihm sagen, was es tun soll
Es lernt niemals aus seinen Fehlern, darum wird es schließlich brechen
und dich überwältigen.

manche Feuer hören nie auf zu brennen
es sollte keine Überraschung sein,
