Translation
I'll Lift My Head
I'm walking along the path of the present,
As a child losing his way,
My arms are outstretched,
Asking for help to continue the journey with you,
And by the wayside the flowers appear to have lost their colour,
They're searching for a ray of light that might help,
Another sip of water from the fountain of knowledge,
Will give them a reason for hope,
I'll lift my head, my eyes will gaze out to the hills in the distance,
And my voice will be heard as a cry, as the prayer of mankind,
And my heart will call out, from where will my saviour come?
I'm passing through new landscapes,
My paces are becoming slow and leaden,
"What do you have there, that you don't have here?" asked a passer-by,
"What are you keeping inside?"
The village elder, carrying his entire past on his shoulders,
Looks around and searches for the world he knows,
When the present is so harsh,
I won't say a word, I'll lift my head up towards tomorrow,
I'll lift my head, my eyes will gaze out to the hills in the distance,
And my voice will be heard as a cry, as the prayer of mankind,
And my heart will call out, from where will my saviour come?

Author's comments:
I love the lyrics of this song, I've tried to maintain some of the original poetic nature of them in the translation, hope that comes across :)
