Original lyrics
Attila Marcel
Moi mon homme c'est un vrai
C'est un dur, un balaise
Je vois la mort de près
de dans ses yeux de braise
Il me fait ce que personne n'ose
Il couvre mon corps d'équimoses
Il m'assomme, il m'poche les yeux
Il m'fait la vie en bleu
Moi mon homme il me botte
y'en a pas deux comme lui
C'est pas de la gnognotte
Trois cent vingt livres et demies
Il me serre si fort dans ses bras
que mon souffle repousse pas
Il est barbare, il est cruel
Mon Attila Marcel
J'irais retrouver sa lumière
avec une droite de dieu le père
et je reste sonnée jusqu'à Paques
au paradis des têtes à claques
Moi mon homme c'est un vrai
C'est un dur, un balaise
Je vois la mort de près
de dans ses yeux de braise

Translation
Attila Marcel
My man is the real thing,
A hard, brutal man.
I see death up close,
in the burning embers of his eyes.
he does to me what nobody dares,
he covers my body with bruises.
he strikes me, he gives me black eyes,
he makes my life "la vie en bleu". [1]
My man kicks me around, [2]
But there is no one else like him.
It's no lie, [3]
three hundred and twenty pounds and a half of him.
He holds me so strongly in his arms, [4]
That it takes my breath away, never to return.
he is a barbarian, he is cruel,
My Attila Marcel [5]
I will find his virtues,
but by the grace of god. [6]
and I remain stunned until Easter
in the abused fool's paradise
My man is the real thing,
A hard, brutal man.
I see death up close,
in the burning embers of his eyes.

Comments
[1] The singer might be referencing Edith Piaf's "La vie en Rose" ("when he holds me in his arms, he whispers to me, i see la vie en rose" etc.), a love song about a man. here it's positive on one side, because Edith Piaf's is a love song, and pink and blue are nice colours, but it's also negative because "bleu" means "blue"...or "bruise"
[2] "botte" is an old phrase meaning you find something cool. But, in this context you can also understand it as if the man strikes her with his boots.
[3]"c'est pas de la gnognotte" means here something like "he's really something" (because of his weight); "gnognotte" is a depreciative term.
[4]"il me serre si fort dans ses bras" : serrer usually means "to hold" (=nice) when it's about arms, but the same verb is used to mean "to squeeze"(=bad), which makes of this phrase another pun.
[5]Marcel is an old first name for men (kind of names that our grandfathers have), but if you read it "attila m'harcèle", it means "attila harasses me"
[6]Usually, in religious texts, people say "à droite de dieu le père" (at God's right), and here there's a pun, because the singer is not referring to a position (à droite ) but to a boxing move. (une droite)
