saremo bendati - might be "covered in bandages", but I suppose for this case "blindfolded" will be the correct meaning, as people during their execution usually have a band on their eyes.
serrate le file - I believe it's not "destroy those archives" (what archives?), but it should mean rather "step up", "hold on tight", "close ranks" etc. (a military command). Would fit the meaning much better in my opinion.
