Cubism

I’ll paste a collage of fiction, onto a large, white canvas!
There it was, an exaggerated angel beautiful from every angle, you know?

A rose, a person- distorted and not quite right, yet you could see it.
In order to live, I stopped by Cezanne in the art gallery.

I don’t know a single thing about anything. Even so, I had been able to paint on.
I always painted over in red. An idiot I was, I'm sure.

I made this artwork with such terrible strokes. And yet, that's what I like about it.

What a worthless line. Just, as is, ahh…

I cut and pasted the skin. Ripping it, bruises turned up.
La-la, la-la-la-la- Ribs lifted, as if laughing.
I gave the emptiness one big hug- Because I was in tears-

La-la, la-la-la-la, into the mourning wall, I painted Pablo Picasso.

"For some reason, I was reaaally staring into it, going, 'Yeah, this is really me…'
I was thinking, 'Yeah, this’s what I really want.'
Hopin' for a Cezanne pic!!! What am I even saying…
An elder had been staring right next to me...

If all there is to youth is lies and counterfeit,
Is there any genuine meaning to be found in it?
Holding the truth in my arms-- I rotted away and fell dead to the floor. (*ding*)

I always painted over red. Not like I regret it one bit though, as expected.
This line's plain repulsive… Now, it's already, ahh…

I cut and pasted the skin. Flowers bloomed and scattered.
La-la, la-la-la-la, the BODY looked as if it was laughing.
I gave the emptiness one big hug- Because I was in tears-
La-la, la-la-la-la, into the mourning wall, I painted Pablo Picasso.
The Picasso of lies, so I am.
