همت بظبي جفلا

همت بظبي جفلا كالبدر لما اكتملا
ليس له من شبه فاق دلالاً وحلا
إذا سالت وصله جاوبني بلا ولا
ياليت لو جاوبني عن لا بأن قال هلا
معذبٌ من هجره أشكو بعادًا وقلا
روحي به هائمة منه فقدت الأملا
في حبه لي قصة غدت لغيري مثلا
 
أعطيته ما سألا حكمته لو عدلا
وهبته روحي فما أدري به مافعلا
أسلمته في يده عيشه أم قتلا
قلبي به في شغل لا مل ذاك الشغلا
قيده الحب كما قيد راعٍ جملا
 
معذب من هجره أشكو بعادا وقلا
روحي به هئىمة منه فقدت الأملا
في حبه لي قصة غدت لغيري مثلا

i adored a wincing beauty

I adored a wincing beauty Her beauty shining like the full moon
No one resembles her glamourous Her loveliness and coquette
overcame all others
If I ask for her acceptance She rejects and pushes me away
I wish she would give me a chance Welcoming instead of refusing me
tormented by her abandonment complaining about distance and ignorance
My soul adores her Until it lost hope in loving her
Loving her was a story Which became a lesson for others
I gave her everything she asked for I gave her control wishing she'd be fair
I granted her my soul Ignoring what she would do with it
I handed her my heart in her hand Will she keep it alive or kill it
My restless heart thinking of her And never got tired of doing so
It is restricted by her love Like the camels by their shepherd
tormented by her abandonment complaining about distance and ignorance
My soul adores her Until it lost hope in loving her
Loving her was a story Which became a lesson for others
