Getting wasted

For months
I've had a hard time sleeping
Ups and downs, waves
Like my mood
But the crew keeps calling
"come on get over it bro,
let's try something new"

So you're dragged to Tel Aviv into some bar
Armed with a hat hiding what it can
You only catch your mistake when someone approaches
Takes a breath, loads up a monologue and says:
'Were you really injured?
'cause you seem strong
And those scars, wow, it's like they were drawn on your hand,
And the entire internet is hyping you up, a Scairdey Chuck Norris
Come on, don't be such a heavyweight
I'm sure it's a bit nice"

Go explain to her that your heart is broken over your friends,
And your entire back is full of metal rods and shrapnel
Instead you smile and say
You sure caught me
A Kurdish guy from Nachlaot, the Illuminati
The New World Order

Even if it hurts remember
You have a choice
Live like there's no tomorrow
No reason necessary
Because in the end everything passes dear
There's nothing to be worried about
Drink your troubles away, cheers
Time to get wasted

I'm between actors and models
And a few reporters from the news
One of them comes over and asks me questions:
'What's with you I heard you're going back to music and performing?
The truth is I'm a bit disappointed
We've conducted an internal poll, and listen you're a star
You'll easily have a seat reserved for you in any political party
Perhaps you could be President
Perhaps you could be Prime Minister

No, I'm not Moses
Even if a stutter a bit
We need someone from below
Perhaps the neighbour's daughter
Perhaps someone who doesn't want to lead
Who will speak less English
And more Arabic
Anyways in the past year
The psychologist has given me a comprehensive diagnosis
And she thinks that despite the pounding in my chest
There's still some good in me
I don't have any delusions of grandeur
There's no Jerusalem syndrome

Even if it hurts remember
You have a choice
Live like there's no tomorrow
No reason necessary
Because in the end everything passes dear
There's nothing to be worried about
Drink your troubles away, cheers
Time to get wasted

It's the end of the night in a taxi
The driver likes sudoku, soccer and oriental music
'Rina, you won't believe who I have sitting with me in the car
Amadi, you know, that guy from Fauda you like.
Where to, bro? Do you have someone here?
I don't judge
You deserve everything bro just go with your heart
You have no idea how much I love you
You're a hero, I'm your soldier'

Why don't you take me to the Western Wall
They say it's the flagship branch
Maybe I can ask why
I've been calling for months with no answer
Maybe He's updating the infrastructure
Maybe He's renovating
It's 3:30 and I'm in front of the stones
A year of war and I forgot how to pray
A few Chabadniks suddenly ask:
Want some arak sir, a blessing from G-d?
Some arak brother, to take the edge off the pain?
Some arak Idan, It'll get some songs out of you
Get some songs out of you

Even if it hurts remember
You have a choice
Live like there's no tomorrow
No reason necessary
Because in the end everything passes dear
There's nothing to be worried about
Drink your troubles away, cheers
Time to get wasted

Two observations related to strongly gendered languages (e.g. Hebrew) vs "barely gendered" (e.g. English)
1.כשמישהי ניגשת
In the Hebrew original, it is immediately explicit that he is approached by a girl, not just "someone" which is not an unimportant detail as he is in a bar. That's how I would translate it - "some girl" similar to how you translated כורדי as
"Kurdish guy" and not just as "Kurd".
2.מחייה...תוריד...תוציא
The word מחייה appears to be a masculine noun - https://www.hamesameach.co.il/store-product-id.aspx?StoreProductId=2780&....
That makes those verbs masculine imperatives as opposed to 3-rd person feminine forms, i.e. תוריד תכאבים = (you)lessen (your )pains תוציא ממך שירים = get songs out of yourself
