Itsi Bitsi,1 come along with me to Nepal!
Itsi Bitsi, come along with me to Nepal!
The road is made out of raw rubber soles.
Take your shoes of, 'cause the asphalt only endures...
your bare feet.
Kiss your scarabees,
listen to the speedometer, which beams out...
... that we have been invited to a lama2 party.
So Itsi Bitsi, come along with me to Nepal!
So Itsi Bitsi, come along with me to Nepal!
Yes, Itsi Bitsi, come along with me to Nepal!
The flying rug departs at eight o'clock,
Bob Dylan called me and said we can still make it.
We have brought licorice sweets...
in our consolation caravels3 near...
the North Pole, where the polar bear was shot
without any women seeing it!
We eat whale and drink whale oil in K. Rasmussen's4 hall.
So Itsi Bitsi, come along with me to Nepal!
We sit in the shadow of cool bushes
and let our brain cells remember...
that our red sand...
in our red bucket
should be sprinkled on the ground in honour
of the coachmen bringing beer!
Indeed, we have got more than hundred places for them.
Oh Spies,5come along with us to Nepal!
So Itsi Bitsi, come along with me to Nepal!
Yes, Itsi Bitsi, come along with me to Nepal!
Let me sail in your eyes' oceans,
let me pick bananas from your island.
The monkeys scratch themselves,
the waves bring you joy...
and I love you way more than you know!
Oh yes, to a much higher degree...
So Itsi Bitsi, come along with me to Nepal!
Yes, Itsi Bitsi, come along with me to Nepal!

Eik Skaløe (1943-1968), the lead singer of Steppeulvene, had been a heavy user of drugs during his short life, especially psychedelics and marijuana. He had hoped that a trip to Nepal could make him quit the drugs, but unfortunately he never made it that far. Ironically, albeit tragically, on his way overland to Nepal he commited suicide on the border between India and Pakistan, blaming "the cruel person inside me" for his death and asking for foregiveness in his suicide note.
