NOTE:
*Sincero could translate to "truthful" as well, but I think "sincere" has better rythm
*Queiro means both "I want" and "I love", both of which work in this text.
*Tierra literally means "earth" taken from the latin "terra" (earth/dry), however it could also mean "ground" which fits better here
*Earlier, the last line of the last verse read "because you're embarrased by the truth, right?" but I changed it because in the initial version I was confused about the usage of the word "verdad" (lit. truth/right).
I’ve thought about that too. It is correct that the singer is male - however, the sex of the narrator is never stated in the song. Thus, I used “although I don’t know” because it works better with the flow of the song than “although she doesn’t know”.
I might change it. The last “no” in the sentence is very stretched in the original song, which gives some space for more English words.
