Original lyrics
Leylim ley
Döndüm daldan kopan kuru yaprağa
Seher yeli dağıt beni kır beni
Götür tozlarımı burdan uzağa
Yarin çıplak ayağına sür beni
Ayın şavkı vurur sazım üstüne
Söz söyleyen yoktur sözüm üstüne
Gel ey hilal kaşlım dizim üztüne-come my moon
Ay bir yandan sen bir yandan sar beni
Yedi yıldır uğramadım yurduma
Dert ortağı aramadım derdime-i didnt look for the trouble
Geleceksen bir gün düşüp ardıma
Kula değil yüreğine sor beni

Leylim Ley*
I have become a dry leaf, fell down from the branch,
Dawn wind, hurl me, shatter me
Take my dust away from here
To my beloved's barefoot, cast me
Beam of moon hits on my saz*
No one dares to speak up againts my word
Come my arched browed, on my knee
Wrap me together with the moon
For seven years I have not visited my home
I have not looked for a companion*
If you are to come after me one day
Ask for me not to another but to your heart

*Leyli: According to TDK(Turkish Language Institution) Leyli means "Nocturnal" and is used as an adjective for women.
*Saz: A stringed instrument.
*Dert ortağı: Can be translated as "someone who will suffer together as a partner" if we were to translate it word to word. "Fellow sufferer" a better choice maybe :D
