Madāpahārī
Migamada-gandhūpama-cārusugandhe
Munivara-dhammodita-sāta-dadante,
Dinakara-soma-pabhāhe vilasante
Ramatu jano manasāra-vasante.
Mana-locana-chaṇa-sadisā manahārā
Abhibhāsati viya virajam jaladhārā,
Suvisada-reṇū-bharāyam vanamālī
Paṇamati me Bhagavantam sapadālī.
Kusalesī, saradesī, dhitimāsī Bhagavāsī
Nisithe kata-dahano yathātihārī
Manujāmala-sukhado madāpahārī,
Visamāyata-tibhave var’eka-sārī
Ramatam Bhagavā mama sise hatārī.
Kusalesī, saradesī, dhitimāsī Bhagavāsī

Translation
Madāpahārī
Giving agreeable notion of a pleasing fragrance as musk.
In the noble Teaching preached by the Buddha,
Shining dispelling the luminosity of the sun and the moon,
May people delight in [that Teaching] resembling the spring.
As adorable as a festival that is charming to mind and eye,
Methinks, eulogies waterfalls to one who is free from desire (i.e. the Buddha),
These bushes that are endowed with pollen and nectar,
Also flock of [six-footed] bees pay homage to my Blessed One (i.e. the Buddha).
Indeed you, preaching the Teaching [doctrine] in a sonorous tone, are the Blessed One who is resolute, and the greatest of those who in search of wellbeing.
As eye-catching as a blaze flaming in the midnight,
He who offers supreme bliss [to the mankind] eliminating their arrogance,
He who crosses the past, present and future with [his unsurpassable wisdom],
May the Buddha who has overcome the enemies [of defilements] dwell in my head forever!
Indeed you, preaching the Teaching [doctrine] in a sonorous tone, are the Blessed One who is resolute, and the greatest of those who in search of wellbeing.
