About translator
Astrud Gilberto sang a version of this, but this is the original version, it is written by Jorge Ben. I have not transcribed the Portuguese lyrics, I have taken them from other websites which do not credit an author. I have posted this song up to provide an English translation, as I am translating it anyway, with great care, as a way of learning Brazilian Portuguese myself.
