Oba Kumiko (born: January 6, 1960), nickname: Kumin, was a popular idol in late 1970s. She appeared on TV for the first time in 1974, made her movie debut in 1976 and debuted as singer in 1977. She was more of an actress than singer, having starred in about 130 dramas and 11 movies (mostly support roles / guest roles, mostly from 1970s to 1990s, but still act as recent as 2020). As singer, she has released 13 singles and 9 albums. She also does voice acting, stage show and variety show, and writes books. She was also from Horikoshi highschool.
Her popularity boosted when she starred as lead role in the TV series: "Comet-san" in 1978:
