Hi, the 2nd line is (let's say...) sloppy: nicht wahr? is a question tag, there is none in the original; I would translate it like: "Ist das nicht das Erstaunliche an allem?" (the quotation mark was missing in the original...); maybe "Abdriften" might be better than "Driften" ;-)
