Path of love

A love that left me,
another love that forgot me
I'm suffering for the world
Love, who will soothe you to sleep?
Poor little guy who lost his home
without finding shelter, he'll walk very alone

Walking and walking,
as it begins to darken
and the afternoon goes into hiding
Love who walks on the road
Love who lost his home
without finding shelter in the storm

Love, path of the soul
You live in my heart
Without you, I've lost the calmness
Small path of the soul, small path of love

A love that left me,
another love that forgot me
I'm suffering for the world
Love, who will soothe you to sleep?
Poor little guy who lost his home
without finding shelter, he'll walk very alone

Walking and walking,
as it begins to darken
and the afternoon goes into hiding
Love who walks on the road
Love who lost his home
without finding shelter in the storm

Love, path of the soul
You live in my heart
Without you, I've lost the calmness
Small path of the soul, small path of love

Good job, Bella!
I'll read it with more time and see if there are any comments to make.
Thank you.

Hi Bella!
I told you I probably would make some comments on this translation, and here I am.
This is a sweet, romantic song that appears to be simple, but it is not. Since it is all metaphoric, you have to figure out the meaning of it and, some times, it isn't very clear.
In regards to 'path':
1. The title- I would say "Little path of love". Notice that the whole composition is based on the -ITO ending. That gives the song the sweet touch. However, since in English you must say 'little' you must be aware of the repetition and try not to say it too many times.
2. In the lyrics- If you repeat "little path" don't say 'small'. "Small' is more for the size; 'little' is more 'cariñoso'.
3. There is another 'little' on fifth verse. Where you say "Poor little guy", I would say "Poor little thing". Again, it is sweeter, and he is talking about love. You can call love 'guy' but...
4. Second stanza, fourth verse- Keep up with 'little path" or "path"' not 'road'. He is talking about the same path.
Interpretation:
First stanza, third verse- more or less it says: "I go through the world suffering (I wander...)"
Fifth verse-- If you add a syllable at the end, it will be, in rhythm, more like the original (and I'll be able to sing it in English). For instance: "...in the big/great/wild/wind storm".
This is my way of looking at it. If you have any ideas or different opinion, please, let me know. I have particular interest in this song.
Thank you.
