Letra original
Holy is the Lord
We stand and lift up our hands
For the joy of the Lord is our strength
We bow down and worship Him now
How great, how awesome is He
And together we sing
Chorus:
Holy is the Lord God almighty
The earth is filled with his glory
Holy is the Lord God almighty
The earth is filled with His glory
The earth is filled with His glory
We stand and lift up our hands
For the joy of the Lord is our strength
We bow down and worship Him now
How great, how awesome is He
And together we sing, everyone sing
Chorus:
(2x’s)
It’s rising up
All around
It’s the anthem of the Lord’s renown
Together we sing
And everyone sing
Chorus:
(3x’s)
Holy, holy is the Lord almighty
Holy, holy

Being able to translate a song into another language is not a matter of luck but skill. What i mean by that is the level of fluency by the translator... Also I don't think its necessary to translate songs literally to preserve the original meaning.
That being said most can't do it. Here's the best version of this song I've found, so far:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtJHPcSJ4B0&list=UUcaf1gKTOdaU2t4eFv89Kuw...
I hope and pray this blesses your life!

One can't expect an exact translation to fit the rhythm of the song, unless one is very lucky. One can either go for the meaning of the words or try to fit to the rhythm if one wants to sing in another language (in which case I find that much of the original meaning is lost, and the song no longer is the same, unfortunately). I thought the translation was very good as far as accuracy goes, and IMO that's what counts. If you want to change the meaning of the song, you're not accurately translating it, and you're changing the lyrics as far as I'm concerned. If you have to change the lyrics to sing the correct rhythm, that may be an unfortunate consequence of the languages not matching up, but to rate an accurate translation badly because it "doesn't fit the rhythm" is in my opinion obscene. ~Katherine
