Legendary melody
I have no idea how did you or anybody else came up with any translation, I trully admire you. I would like to see a commentary below, though. This text is beyond my capacities, it's the Everest of every translator I suppose.
I've just gave it a try and came up with this wishful, arbitrary, deluded translation. I just took into consideration that Vaggelis is Greek and perhaps some greek words might hide behind certain words. If of course Vaggelis was the one that wrote the lyrics.
"Going north through rough paths ( ipe>>αιπύς in ancient greek means rough, inaccesible)
in the heart of North
Drag me/ yourself ( or throw arrows, shoot) all the way through (per ito>>I just remembered the word itinerary)
to dominate.
Drag me to vigorousness (romine>>ρώμη in greek means strength, vigor)
make it vigorously
imagine at least to be self-deluded (I thought that per meno is like "por lo menos" in spanish...but the second "per" makes collapse all my effort to find any sort of meaning here..unless imentira has something to do with mens/mentis= mind)
You wonder too many questions and complicate your life.
After all, Pseudo-Latin is nothing but a constructed language that vaguely resembles the sound of Latin but that can be freely interpreted as your fantasy suggests.
So I can’t tell whether your translation is wrong or right, and mine is nothing more than an effort to give some sense to these lyrics that per se are meaningless.
I found similarities with some Latin/Italian words, and you may have found similarities with Greek words, but in the end we are both right :)
