There are some things I would like to comment on since I was taught that way:
My Spanish teacher said, anywhere in the Spanish speaking world, you can use the indirect/direct object pronouns either before or connected to the verb itself. He didn't explain why, but he said it can be done and considered grammatically correct.
Once a verb is conjugated into a certain form, you don't have to conjugate a second verb since it can be taken that the sentence in the person form that was first conjugated unless you change who you are talking about.
As for the rest, thank you. I just have a hard time differentiating ser and estar since I never really paid attention to the differences.
